Psalms Bible Study

Have you ever wondered about the Responsorial Psalms sung at Sunday mass? The source is the book of Psalms, a collection of song-prayers and one of the most oft-quoted books of the Bible. Psalms was so central for the Jews that Jesus used them frequently to address his Father, even at his crucifixion. This fall, St. Patrick’s is launching a 7-session discussion of Psalms, Thursday nights from 7-8:30 p.m.  Part study, part reflection on prayer and life experiences, these sessions will focus on 28 psalms divided into three categories: Psalms of Descriptive Praise, Psalms of Trust or Confidence, and Wisdom Psalms.

If you would like to participate or have questions, e-mail Richard D’Ambrosio at rda911us@yahoo.com. The cost for the program is $12.25, including your own Commentary and Question Guide. Orders were placed Sept. 5. You can order your own copy after Sept 5 and participate in as many classes as you like. If you are interested in sitting in for just a few classes with no commentary, e-mail us – and join a discussion about the Psalms here @ https://stpatspathways.wordpress.com/.
